Our librarians work in realms of quiet, but they make dramatic contributions to preparing students for college and life. From pre-kindergarten to graduation, our libraries work in concert with teachers to impart a love of reading and literature and teach research skills.

“Our goal is to make sure every one of our Woodward students knows how to do research by the time they graduate. Research skills truly set the stage for success in college. We also emphasize reading for pleasure and enlightenment. We guide our students in exploring the world through literature.”
-Joanne Baker, Head Librarian, Carlos Library
Librarians work with teachers at all levels to enhance and support assignments that are integrated into the curriculum. At the Carlos Library, which serves the Upper and Middle Schools, our students have access to comprehensive resource lists including more than 22,000 books in the collection, many databases, and a wide range of online resources.
